I was looking for a set of speakers to replace my KRK VXT 8's for producing for more low-mid "punch" for kick and percussions that I couldn't get out of the VXT 8's but also couldn't get it out of a sub because a sub goes too deep for that (and comes from a different source than monitors). I was watching a Kali IN-8 wave 2 demo video comparing them to the SC307s. Not a fair comparison I know (different price range) but couldn't help but noticed the power in the low-mids on the SC307 that I was looking for for years. I started to research it and eventually went ahead and purchased them here on Muziker as it was a great deal. Happy to experience that these speakers do exactly that, reproduce low-mids properly too, this makes them super fun to use, put you in the right mood for producing and mixing. They're accurate enough but not overly analytical so you can focus on getting music done instead of tweaking endlessly for the smallest details. At the same time what you make on them seems to translate to other speakers easily. I listen to and make many different kinds of music and I still needed to connect my KRK 10s4 sub for electronic music but really as a sub bass and not as a substitute for proper monitor speakers. If you're looking for sub bass consider you may still need a sub and definitely do not go with the SC305s in that case (I have a room that's 4x4 meters and even SC307s needed my sub for me). Highs are very nice and not tiring. There is also low/high eq that you can set in 0.5 dB increments. Note there are no holes for mounting so you need a horizontal surface to put the speakers on (they're 50 cm wide and 31 cm deep). Currently I made a shelf for them out of wood but also looked at K&M 26740 stand or since I already have a 35mm stand the K&M Plate for 26740 and K&M 24521-300-55 Bolt Adapter 3/8" could work (haven't tried). Really happy with these speakers, they're inspiring to work on. Hope this helps someone!
